Meditation is a practice that gives balance physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The deep switch off time during meditation can help reduce everyday stress levels and enable you to make better clearer choices as your mind is less busy. Meditation lowers the heart rate and blood pressure as you slow down your breathing, which reduces the amount of oxygen needed, the mind and muscles therefore relax.
We are keen to set up a weekly group mediation session here at the cottage. Please contact us to book a place and we will get in touch. Meditating with a group of others, increases the amount of energy being circulated, therefore the overall effect is more powerful.
If any of the above interests you please get in touch and we would be happy to discuss your requirements at this time.

Focussing on the breath, practicing slowing it down , helps to bring about inner harmony, peace and thus relaxation within the body.
Relaxing can be the first step of your healing journey…..Just managing to relax in this busy stressful world is a triumph…. When we relax we allow healing to start to happen.
We have created a safe secure therapeutic space in which we might work together, helping to bring more healing and wellness to ourselves and to the world.
We have always worked with and for people and are compassionate and empathic in our approach.
We are both qualified and insured to practice the therapies on offer here.
There are guided meditations/ visualisations, where you go on a journey in your head. There is quiet time, empty head meditation. People often fear this as we are not used to staying that quiet or still for a period of time. It’s not so difficult. It’s about being mindful of your thoughts and if thoughts appear, simply observe them, let them go by asking them to pass on through and repeat. There are meditations to gentle music or using a mantra, a phrase you repeat over and over inside your head, e.g. be still, be still, be still. You can also do walking mediations, where by, you simply walk and eventually, your head empties and you are at one with your surroundings and at peace.
ALL of the above are suggestions of ways to help us relax, to enable us to take care and to be more in control of our selves. Ways that we have found helpful over the years.
